Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Quality Control (QC) Manager to oversee the QC department at our facility in Vapi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations. The QC Manager will lead a team of quality control specialists, implement testing protocols, and work closely with production and R&D teams to maintain quality standards across all processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Assurance & Testing
    • Oversee all quality control operations, including product testing, raw material analysis, and final product inspection.
    • Ensure compliance with national and international quality standards such as ISO, GMP, etc.
    • Develop and implement testing methods and procedures to maintain product quality throughout the production process.
    • Analyze and interpret test results, providing feedback to production teams to improve product quality.
  2. Team Management
    • Lead and manage a team of quality control inspectors, chemists, and lab technicians.
    • Train, mentor, and guide team members to ensure they are up-to-date with the latest quality control standards and practices.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
  3. Compliance & Documentation
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records and reports.
    • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulatory standards and guidelines.
    • Prepare for and participate in audits from regulatory bodies and customers.
    • Ensure adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  4. Continuous Improvement
    • Identify areas for improvement within quality control processes and implement best practices to optimize efficiency.
    • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality-related issues and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
    • Lead investigations into product quality complaints and non-conformance issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  5. Product & Process Development
    • Work closely with R&D and production teams to ensure new product development meets quality standards.
    • Conduct validation studies for new products and processes to ensure they comply with quality requirements.
  6. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
    • Ensure that all quality control operations are conducted in a safe and compliant manner.
    • Promote a culture of safety and compliance within the QC department.

Key Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8-10 years of experience in quality control, preferably in a manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, or chemical industry setting.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of QC testing protocols, analytical methods, and quality standards (ISO, GMP, etc.).
  • Leadership: Proven experience in managing and leading QC teams.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle quality issues.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with cross-functional teams.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local and international regulatory standards for quality control.

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment such as HPLC, GC, Spectrophotometers, etc.
  • Expertise in implementing quality management systems (QMS).
  • Prior experience in dealing with regulatory audits and certifications.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
