The Vehicle Integration Manager will be responsible for leading the integration of all vehicle systems and subsystems throughout the product development lifecycle. The role ensures seamless interaction between mechanical, electrical, electronic, software, powertrain, chassis, body, and safety systems to deliver vehicles that meet performance, quality, cost, regulatory, and customer requirements.

The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and program management functions to ensure successful vehicle development and launch.

Responsibilities

Vehicle Integration Management

  • Lead complete vehicle integration activities from concept development through production launch.
  • Ensure compatibility and optimal performance of all vehicle systems and subsystems.
  • Drive vehicle architecture reviews, packaging studies, and system-level integration activities.
  • Coordinate engineering changes and evaluate their impact on overall vehicle performance.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with Design, Electrical, Electronics, Software, Powertrain, Chassis, Body Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
  • Facilitate technical reviews and resolve integration-related issues.
  • Ensure effective communication among all stakeholders involved in vehicle development.

Validation & Testing

  • Develop and execute vehicle integration validation plans.
  • Support prototype build activities, testing, and performance evaluations.
  • Analyze test results and drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulatory standards.

Program Execution

  • Monitor project timelines, milestones, risks, and deliverables.
  • Support product development programs and vehicle launch activities.
  • Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality objectives.

Electric Vehicle & Advanced Technology Integration

  • Support integration of EV powertrain systems, battery packs, battery management systems, charging systems, and vehicle control units.
  • Coordinate integration of connected vehicle technologies, telematics, ADAS, and software-driven vehicle functions.

Quality & Compliance

  • Participate in DFMEA, PFMEA, APQP, DVP&R, and system validation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable automotive regulations and industry standards.
  • Support homologation and certification requirements.

Educational Qualifications

  • BE/B.TECH/MBA

Experience

  • 8–15 years of experience in Automotive Product Development, Vehicle Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Vehicle Integration.
  • Experience in Passenger Vehicles, Commercial Vehicles, Electric Vehicles, or Automotive Tier-1 environments preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing cross-functional engineering programs.
