Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Management:
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and policies in accordance with local regulations and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Training and Awareness:
- Provide training and support to employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Organize safety drills and workshops to enhance awareness and preparedness.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant safety laws and regulations.
- Incident Investigation:
- Investigate accidents and near-misses, documenting findings and recommending preventive measures.
- Prepare reports and maintain records related to safety incidents.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and submit safety reports to management and regulatory agencies as required.
- Maintain accurate records of safety training, inspections, and compliance activities.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure safety considerations are integrated into operational practices.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs, making recommendations for improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in safety management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in safety management or compliance roles, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct training and engage employees effectively.
- Proficient in MS Office and safety management software.
- Certification in Safety Management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is a plus.
