The organization is seeking an experienced Manager – Quality with strong experience in the Automotive / Auto Components / Tier 1 Supplier industry to lead quality assurance, quality control, and continuous improvement activities across manufacturing and product development operations.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that automotive products and processes meet customer specifications, IATF 16949 requirements, applicable automotive standards, and internal quality objectives. The role will work closely with Production, Engineering, R&D, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Customer Quality teams to drive product quality and operational excellence.

The Manager – Quality will lead customer complaint resolution, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, 8D, CAPA, root cause analysis, process audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position will focus on reducing defects, rejection, rework, warranty issues, and cost of poor quality while improving process capability and customer satisfaction.

Role Mandate & Accountabilities

• Lead overall Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities for automotive products.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements, and applicable automotive standards.
• Drive APQP and quality planning activities for new product development.
• Manage PPAP, PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, and Process Capability activities.
• Lead customer complaint resolution through 8D and structured root cause analysis.
• Monitor and improve product and process quality performance.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions to reduce rejection, rework, defects, and warranty claims.
• Coordinate customer, supplier, internal, and certification audits.
• Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to improve process capability and manufacturing quality.
• Lead supplier quality improvement and incoming quality activities.
• Establish and monitor key quality KPIs and prepare management reports.
• Drive continuous improvement, process standardization, and cost-of-poor-quality reduction.
• Develop and mentor the Quality team and promote a strong zero-defect quality culture.
• Support customer audits, new product launches, engineering changes, and process validations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience in Automotive, Auto Components, or Tier 1 manufacturing.
• Strong hands-on experience with IATF 16949 and automotive quality core tools.
• Experience in customer quality, supplier quality, manufacturing quality, and new product development.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D, CAPA, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
