Production Manager

Production Manager to oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production processes, optimal resource utilization, and strict adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This role is critical in driving operational excellence, maintaining production timelines, and delivering consistent output in line with business objectives.

The Production Manager will be responsible for planning and executing production schedules, monitoring workflow, and ensuring seamless coordination across departments such as quality assurance, maintenance, supply chain, and warehouse. They will play a key role in identifying process improvements, minimizing downtime, reducing operational costs, and enhancing overall productivity through the implementation of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and manage daily production operations to meet output targets.

Ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.

Optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize waste.

Monitor production schedules, inventory levels, and resource allocation.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams including quality, maintenance, and supply chain.

Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma).

Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies.

Manage and mentor production teams, ensuring high performance and productivity.


Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, or related field.

8+ years of experience in manufacturing/production operations (pharma, FMCG, or related industries).

Strong knowledge of production planning, GMP, and quality systems.

Proven leadership and team management skills.

Familiarity with ERP systems and production management tools.


Preferred Qualifications:

Bsc/Msc.BE/B.Tech (Pharmaceuticals, Biotech, Chemicals).
